As can be seen from the 1963 Rolex catalog , the Daydate ref. 1803 was offered to the public in the “head only” version at a price of 1100 Swiss Francs, to which the leather strap could be combined.

The bracelet was a very expensive add-on, sold at almost the same price as the watch as can still be seen of the 1963 Rolex catalog excerpt.

The Mat bracelet was one of the rarest and most expensive bracelets in the price list.
