In 1959, Jaeger-LeCoultre launched the Deep Sea Alarm, the brand’s first underwater alarm watch. Overall, it is estimated that fewer than 1,000 of these watches were produced between 1959 and 1962 Most were destined for the U.S., with dials bearing only the LeCoultre name, and the inscription DEEP SEA ALARM while watches destined for the European market had only the inscription Jaeger-LeCoultre on the dial. This example has come to the present day in perfect condition and with the complete set. The holy grail of underwater alarm watches.
